Lichfield Cathedral Choir Tours
Whilst the primary function of the Cathedral Choir is to maintain the Opus Dei, it regularly undertakes foreign tours. The main purpose of the tours is to share the musical heritage with a wider public, but they also serve to reinforce the fellowship of the Choir and its strength. They can also act to establish and extend ecumenical and international relationships.
Following choir's visit to Rome in 1987, the British Ambassador to the Holy See wrote: "I think that your visit has helped not only relations with the Holy See, but also the growing understanding between our churches".
