Lichfield Cathedral holds records of the services from mid-1848 to the present day. The music lists - or weekly tables - also detail the music sung at the services. The collection of music lists is, I believe, a unique historical record and offers an amazing insight into cathedral music over the past 170+ years.
I am gradually getting the music lists scanned, but to make the information even more useful and to allow trends in cathedral music to be identified, the information held on the music lists needs transcribing.
A much fuller introduction, contextualising the research, the process and the competitive element of the project, can be found here.
If this is your first time doing the transcription, you will need to register, otherwise, please log in and continue from where you left off.
